World Citizen Wednesdays #9: Winter Fun
Welcome to World Citizen Wednesday!
Each week we pose a question to members of the fabulous Multicultural Kid Blogs group and share their answers here.
To find out more about these amazing bloggers, check out the Multicultural Kid Blogs Facebook page. And watch for our group website, coming soon!
This week we ask them:
What winter activities do you look forward to doing with your kids?
Valerie of Glittering Muffins: So far all my son likes to do with snow is shovel it, lol.
Melissa of Vibrant Wanderings: This will be our first real winter, but we haven’t had snow yet! I love baking gingerbread cookies together regardless.
MaryAnne of Mama Smiles: We love “painting” with icicles, and bringing snow indoors.
Aisha of Hartlyn Kids: Ice skating!
Amy of Delightful Children’s Books: We live in Duluth, Minnesota, so we have to embrace the winter. We enjoy skiing, skating, sledding and warm fires in our fireplace.
Olga of The European Mama: Nothing special planned. When I was a child, we used to go skiing, but since my children are little (and as we have a third one on the way) it might get more difficult. However, if it gets really cold in the Netherlands, the canals will freeze, and everybody will go outside to ice skate- the Dutch are crazy about it, and it’s awesome! I am so looking forward to that!
Varya of Little Artists: I look forward to Christmas Gawking.
Thanks to all the bloggers who shared their answers here! Next week we find out how to celebrate winter without cold weather!

Frances, I’m with you! I think the two of us need to take a trip to the Netherlands one day to check out the ice skating on the canals!
Well he was happy on dec 27 we got a meter (39 inches) of snow so the next day, when the wind stopped, we went out to shovel for a while, he shoveled so much one (we had a spare) of his shovel broke! LOL Thanks for including us 🙂
Lol, that is too funny! Hopefully he will still like helping with the shoveling when he’s older 😉 Thanks for participating!
Love your series!!! Always look forward to the next one!
Thanks, Varya! I have so much fun with these!
