Valentine’s Treat: Ice Cream Hearts
My Monkey loooves ice cream. It is his absolute favorite treat, so this year I thought we’d have some ice cream fun to get ready for Valentine’s Day.
After the ice cream softened, we laid out cookie cutters on a baking sheet. (I can sort of understand why he thought the “bumpy circle” would be a nice addition, but I’m really clueless about why he picked the letter “F”!)
Then we scooped some ice cream into the shapes, and Monkey smoothed down the tops. Monkey did ask for a number of “sampling” breaks, which might be why our ice cream really started to melt!
As a final decorative touch, Monkey made faces out of frozen blueberries.
After chilling in the freezer for several hours, they were ready! They were fairly easy to push out of the cookie cutters, though you can also use a knife to loosen the edges.
How are you getting ready for Valentine’s Day?

Cute!
Thank you, Honey!
This sounds so easy but comes out so cute! (I like that he picked the letter F – maybe for ‘fun’!)
Emma, I like that! Definitely “f” for fun!
My kids love ice cream and this looks really fun for Valentine’s Day! What a clever way to use cookie cutters!!
Thank you! We had fun, but you do have to work quickly!
