Baby Shower Favors: Free Printable {Multicultural Kid Blogs Virtual Baby Shower}
This post is part of the Virtual Baby Shower being held at Multicultural Kid Blogs. For more details and to share your own posts, see the bottom of this page.
It seems incredible to me that it has been nearly a year and a half since my baby shower for Little Monkey; yet, when I try to remember our family without his dimpled grin and bright spirit, it seems a lifetime ago.
Today I am sharing the favors I made for his baby shower, inspired by a quotation that to me encapsulates all the hope we carry for the new little beings that enter into this world and the joyous burden that falls to us as parents to help them reach their potential:
“Every child is potentially the light of the world.”
– Bahá’í Writings
To make these I first create the template in Publisher (download the pdf version here) then printed them on cardstock.
These make lovely cards as is, but I wanted to send everyone home with a little something special, so I simply glued a scented tea light onto each. I kept several for myself, and they still smell heavenly!
At Multicultural Kid Blogs, we consider ourselves a (very large) extended family, and so today we are taking time to celebrate those members that are about to or have recently welcomed new little ones into their lives. We are so happy for them!

Doesn’t the time fly by? Your favors are lovely! Thank you for sharing them.
Thank you! And yes, it’s hard to believe that the little baby we were celebrating is now 16 months old!
What a beautiful saying! and lovely favors to have handed out. Thanks for sharing the printable!
Thank you so much!
These are beautiful, and I love the saying. What a perfect idea! One baby shower idea I have seen and loved involves giving a little candle to each woman in attendance, and a special one to the mother. When the woman goes into labor, everyone is meant to light their candle and keep it burning as a reminder to think of the birthing mother. The mom can light hers and look at throughout her birth as a reminder of all the special people who are with her in spirit. I would love to combine those that idea with your gorgeous printable — though the printable stands alone with no need for anything more! 🙂
Melissa, you are exactly right! I based this favor on that beautiful idea, although, since it was my shower, I was too shy to ask people to light the candle for me!
I love the uplifting nature of the quotation on the favours, it looks like a great choice.
Thank you, Jonathan!
