Learn About Bali With a Kids Yoga Island Adventure Book {Read Around the World Summer Reading Series}
My readers know what a big fan I am of Giselle Shardlow from Kids Yoga Stories. Her unique kids yoga books are a great way to engage children’s minds, bodies, and spirits. What’s more, they also introduce young readers to other places and cultures.
Previous books have taken us to Costa Rica and Australia. In her latest work, Shardlow takes us to Bali, where children travel with a young girl from India – Anamika – as she and her family discover this beautiful country. Readers learn not only about the natural environment – including monkeys and waterfalls – but also about daily life in Bali as they bike past farms, whiz by on scooters, and sit still as statues at a local temple.
I highly recommend this book as a wonderful way to introduce yoga – and Bali – to your little ones!
I am so excited to be participating in the Read Around the World Summer Reading Series from Multicultural Kid Blogs! Now through August, bloggers from all over the world will share their recommendations of great multicultural books for the entire family! For more details and the full schedule, visit the series main page. You can also follow along on our Summer Reading Pinterest Board!
