Black Girl Magic Books for Kids
This year as part of the MKB Black History Month blog hop, I have written a guest post on Multicultural Kid Blogs, featuring children’s books that celebrate black girl magic.
These wonderful books celebrate African-American heroines by having black girls not just as side characters but as protagonists, in settings as diverse as rural Jamaica, a modern city, and a space station. The list includes picture books as well as an early chapter book and a graphic novel, because black girl magic is for kids of all ages!
